This cache is a Letterbox Hybrid.
You are looking for an ammo can hidden in the typical fashion.
Because this is a letterbox hybrid there is a hand carved stamp.
THE STAMP IS NOT A TRADE ITEM IT MUST REMAIN IN
THE CACHE. The stamp depicts the Castle Dome Mountain and an
Ocotillo cactus. The can also contains the normal swag for trading.
Once you leave the pavement, a high clearance 4wd vehicle could be
necessary. I have been up the road in a 2wd vehicle, but the last
rains have created some washouts. Drive carefully. It would not be
hard to slide off the road in some places, or get stuck. Once you
get to the top of the road and climb the 170 feet up the mountain
to the cache, there is a beautiful view of Castle Dome (on a clear
day). You can see for miles around the valley. YPG is to the north
and Wellton is to the east. There are several mines in the area so
be careful where you walk. Not all the mines are fenced off and
some are quite deep. Enjoy the view and the cache.
