Geocache Description:

The old town is very busy all year and at any time, lots of muggles around, so please be careful and discreet to assure the survival of the caches.

The former convent of the "Clarisses" at the foot of the hill was founded in 1604. The construction of the convent, run by the city of Nice, began by buying the old houses in the area and ended in 1607. During the revolution, the "Clarisses" fled the convent. The "Visitandines" took over the buildings and remained there until 1960.
A beautiful facade painted in "trompe l'oeil", as you may see many examples everywhere in the old town, just look up!

Take a look at the plaque commemorating the war to the left of the chapel.
The number of fallen named Louis + 3 = r
The number of fallen named Maurice + 1 = s
The number of fallen named Joseph - 2 = t

Just above the chapel, going up the stairs towards the "Château" at N43°41.892 E007°16.761, you will see a tribute to the local troubadour, Menica Rondelly. The year in which the second plaque was placed by "Lu Amic Dou Viei Nissa" for the centenary of the birth of their bard + 39 = u.uuu
