NOTE: The cache was destryed by a forest fire but now is in a new location.
The cache is a plastic box with trade items and a Andrew Jackson $1,00 for first to find in it's new location.
Parking is at the bottom of the Gwin Mine Road or at the Middle Bar Bridge. Trail permits are required by EBMUD, and the trail is opened to Horseback and Hiking.
The cache is hidden in Poorman Gulch, which was a very Profitable area during the early days of the gold rush in the 1850's. The Gwin Mine Road and Middle Bar Roads were the main Stage Coach roads from Amador County and Calavaras County. They have not changed much since they were built. Seven miles from Highway 49 neer Jackson to Paloma in Calaveras County.
