Geocache Description:

May we suggest that you please use hand sanitiser before and after finding this cache - thanks 😊 Welcome to GJMMelb’s first geocache!!! It was created with the GEOKIDS in mind with an extra waypoint taking you to a little playground very nearby to the cache -so have fun!! PLUS….. There is a First To Find Prize Pack aimed especially at Geokids aged about 3-10, so don’t forget to bring along the kids, grandkids or friends kids when going for the FTF on this one!!!!!

FIRST TO FIND PRIZE WON BY MISSBB!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

This walk is maintained by an Advisory Committee who have regular working bees and the cache was placed with the Committee’s permission. It is a linear park that has several linked tracks in the Western section (here) extending from Williamsons Rd to Goodwin St Blackburn North. The Western Section is one of the last remnants of bushland in Blackburn North, whilst the Eastern section is more conventional parkland. The Advisory Committee was first endorsed by Nunawading Council in 1978 and is now under the Whitehorse Council. JMelb and her friend walk along one of the tracks here about once a week and in researching a place for this cache discovered all the other tracks for the first time!!

After parking in the large carpark nearby, Waypoint 1 will have you at a sign that you will need to use to answer questions to calculate Waypoint 2 (the cache). It is only a short walk away.
