Geocache Description:

Dog friendly, although the signs say keep on leads due to horse riders.

Mud-wise – the path here can get quite boggy as it is made from the local Greensand, otherwise should hold up well in all weathers.

The five hectares that were excavated lay within a valley head depression or hollow of about 1ha which was evaluated by specialists funded by the Aggregates Sustainability Levy through English Heritage.

Due to the nomadic nature of the Mesolithic peoples, they rarely left evidence below ground despite being around for over 4,000 years.

This site is therefore unique in that this site shows evidence of repeated visits over several thousands of years maintaining a tradition of visiting here that is unusual and hard to understand.

Maybe the longest instance of a repeat DNF?
