Geocache Description:

Cache on the historical Old Cornwallis Road.

This cache is hidden as part of the Liverpool 250th birthday year. Eh cache is a small Lock and Lock type of container.
The old Cornwallis road is not much to look at, just another old logging road abandoned after it was no longer needed. It started with much loftier goals.
When General Cornwallis was Governor of Nova Scotia, he set out a defense plan that included a network of roads to allow garrisons at different towns to support each other. He sent surveyors out to lay out this network of roads between major towns of the time. This road is built on part of the original road laid out to run from Liverpool to Annapolis. I don't think much of the road was ever built but this one, being on the original survey was called by many, The Old Cornwallis Road
