This cache though placed as part of the Marroc's Memories Series is
more of a memory for my wife Daisy.
As a young child she spent many summers coming to this location
to swim in the brook in the deepest sections with her family and
some of the other local kids.
When I was teenager the path the would have brought you to this
location was used as shortcut for us to bike up the Beaver Mountain
as the bridge once stood and the road would bring us up to the
Trans Canada Highway that we could cut across to reach the Beaver
Mountain Road and up to the Provincial Park. Now the bridge has
passed on and the trail beyond is now over grown.
This cache location was also known to have been an old privately
own picnic park when the old #4 Highway was the original Trans
Canada,
Once again this area has some memories and is fitting for my
series placed in Antigonish.
The landowner was generous enough to give me permission to place
this cache on his land. Please be respectful and not block their
driveway and parking area on eitherside of the road.
