Geocache Description:

Ground Zero is close to a very neat beach along the Cedar River. The salmon spawn in the fall and its a great picnic spot / swimming hole in the summer.

Actually, this cache is a tie in with The Big Drop and is located very close to it ( just 370 feet away ).
The shortest route is death, that would be 110 feet straight down into the Cedar River.
If you really wanted to be an adventurist, you can go west back on the main trail, then find some side trails that will take you to the river. Here you must cross the rushing waters of the Cedar River that are 3 feet deep (at least). Then a couple hundred feet away you will find a very nice beach,- its nearby.
A third choice is, you could go all the way back to the train trestle and cross there. Another side trail will skirt you down to the river through the forest and to the waiting beach. This is the easiest option but will be about a mile's walk.
Or you could.... Oh heck, - just go find it and have some fun !!
But be careful any which way you go - ENJOY!!
