This cache arose out of ‘Stonehenge!’ because the anchor at those published coords was taken away and relocated. Hence the new name!
At the new coords a plaque records that Port Elliot operated as a harbour from 1853 to 1864 and the anchor was recovered in 1A56.
Walk towards the jetty where you will see a display with two anchors and some information plaques.
Note that the Emu was wrecked on May 2 1853 and that the Captain and crew of B were drowned, and that the Josephine L’Oizeau was wrecked on July 1C 1856.
Also note that D crew died trying to return to the ship when the Lapwing was wrecked on September 5 185E
The cache is a small black box located at s35 31.ABC e138 41.DED. There is no need to cross any fences or dig in the sand. In the summer this spot is busy with Muggles – if questioned just tell them you are looking for some keys!
There are many routes back to the main street, where you can reward yourself with a cuppa and a goodie at one of the excellent eateries.
