The title describes my reason for placing the cache in this spot. My mom lives in a second floor apartment in the adjacent Merrill Gardens retirement community here. She is a great lady who loves people and takes a lot of interest in what is going on around her. She is 92 now and is limited in mobility but loves to look outside and watch the comings and goings of people in her area. Her apartment has a great view on ground zero of this cache. I placed it here primarily to give her something new and fun to watch.
The cache is a bison, easily reachable and not a hard find at all. No hint should be required. Bring your own pen. Have fun but watch for muggles when replacing.
Congrats to fishiam and towtrkdug for the speedy co-FTF! Maybe you didn't see Mom but she sure saw you - called me and gave me a blow by blow on the hunt and find. She got a big kick out of it!
Update November 2010: Mom is no longer here but the cache remains. She decided to move to another retirement community closer to me and with better assistance for her needs. She is still going strong and loves the memories of all the cachers who entertained her going after this cache. Update January 2011: Mom is back. She was not happy in the other place since it was boring. She is 93 but still too sharp to tolerate boredom very well. At least here she has fun. Unfortunately, she is on the ground floor and can't see GZ but she will still try to catch you all in the act! Cache on! Update 6-23-11 I am sorry to report that my beloved mother passed away on 6-11-11. She is no longer around to enjoy the antics of my fellow cachers but the cache remains in place and will until I think of another fitting tribute cache that she would appreciate. I want to thank all the cachers who came to find this one and provided my Mom with so much entertainment. She truly enjoyed all of your struggles! I will miss her dearly. She was a great lady and led a wonderfully interesting live and enjoyed it to the hilt. She always looked on the bright side and was a true people person and great fun to be around.
