Geocache Description:

There are many birds to be seen in the neighborhoods of San Juan Capistrano and since we had rain this past week, we were lucky to see a rainbird at the above coordinates. This is a smallish cache on fairly level terrain, but not wheelchair accessible. Please do not remove the cache - the top will screw off.

Although we see hawks and turkey vultures in the hills, San Juan Capistrano is best known for the swallows that return each year and are celebrated with a parade through the town. To be honest the pigeons outweigh the swallows now by my count.
In our garden the hummingbirds own the place and we have seen as many as 14 or 15 vying for a spot on the feeder around dusk. During the day the little guy who owns the feeder, jealously guards it and attacks any intruder - winged or on foot.
The rainbird you are looking for is a unique species - have fun on your hunt.
When placed this cache had a log, pencil and one or two small trinkets.

Congratulations to Fellners and Tumbling Booboo on the Co-FTF of this unusual species
