Geocache Description:

Located in the Bradshaw Mountains near the Packer Tank at an elevation of 4870' with a spectacular view of Central Arizona.

I love being up high with unimpeded views. Maybe it's because I grew up in south Georgia where it is so flat that a 5' pile of dirt is called a hill. Maybe it's because I've been a pilot all my adult life and I feel more at home when I have some altitude and the bird's eye view it accords. But I do like high places -- hills, mountains, wherever. Which is good since geocachers seem to always put caches in the highest places available.

This cache is in the southern Bradshaw Mountains with a spectacular view, 360 degrees, but the best views are mostly south and east towards Lake Pleasant and the west Valley.

I drove in from the east. From where I crossed the Agua Fria, I drove 15.1 bouncy miles one way to the cache site. You will need an ATV, dirt bike, or 4x4. The cache can be approached from other directions as well. Some interesting country to be seen back here.

The terrain rating is for the drive. The cache is just off the trail and there is a turn around available. As always, pack lots of water, let someone know where you are going, and watch for critters, especially the rattling kind.
