Located in the Volo Bog State Natural Area off Bradenburg Road, Ingleside, IL. Volo Bog is the only such peat land in Illinois still to have an open water center surrounded by Floating soils.
This is a small cache with some travel bugs and a log book. This is a wonderful and rare location with abundant wildlife and spectacular views to enjoy.
This cache will provide you with coordinates and clues to a second location inside the bog. There is some wildlife at this location you don't see everyday.
This cache was created to help encourage and teach our youth about geocaching and "leave no trace". This is a public park that attracts lots of muggles. Park hours are Wednesday thru Sunday 9am - 3pm.
