This is four in a four cache series to get you out and around a nice wooded section of my hometown.Slippery when wet, but no large grade to climb. Two cup lock & lock container.
Located in LaPlume behind Keystone college, this is a self directed nature trail with fifteen stations along the way. Parking behind the library on Regina Way, coords listed below. Bogs, fens, ferns, wildlife, a suspension bridge, an old railway stop that the locals used to get to the amusement park in Lake Winola and, if you can discover it, a hidden family cemetery.
This last cache on the loop of the Nakomis/Tunkhannock Trail will bring you down a dirt road to a weather station, a silo (sans barn),and a walk through the Ned Boehm athletic field.
Note:You can get this one by itself by parking at the baseball field parking lot and take the short walk up the dirt road.That makes the terrain rating a 2 star.
