Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above coordinates, although you may start your walk there. It is a small plastic container hidden somewhere on a level walk through the trees. There is no need to climb any fences, please use the gates and stiles, if necessary.

In 1796 Beethoven embarked on a tour of central European cultural centres. It is a little known fact that Beethoven visited Scotland as part of this grand tour. He is reputed to have visited nearby Pitkeathly Wells to take the waters, as was the fashion at the time. A scrap of paper with a couple of bars of music was found there after he left. It may sound a bit strange, maybe because of the effect the water had on the great composer, but maybe it can guide you to the cache.
