A simple guide rail cache in the area of my summer home.
Back in the Great Flood of 2006, Hawkins Pond Road (also known
as SR 1025) was heavily washed out of existence. Denton Creek
decided to edge over some 50+ feet, sending a large chunk of the
road well downstream. It was one of the last state roads to be
rebuilt. So in honor of the reengineering of the road, a quick
cache has been placed. There's a pull-off just to the north of the
guide rail. Take a look at the photo that I uploaded so that you
can see how it looked in early July 2006. (I can't believe that I
drove around that hole!)
