A lovely old church overlooking a country town.
ST MARY'S CHURCH In 1863 three blocks were dedicated for a Church, School and Presbytery.
The foundation stone of St Mary's Catholic Church was laid in 1868. It was extended in 1895-96, with the bell tower and bapistry being added in 1910 and 'embellished' in 1916.
The granite for the tower was quarried at Demondrille and carted to the site by bullock and horse teams.
