The published co-ordinates are for a micro which will give you the co-ordinates for the final, larger box.
Mabe church sits outside the village of Mabe Burnthouse with fantastic views over Argal reservoir. The views of the church from the waterside are also well worth seeing. (Hint?!) Its tower and porch are 15th century with the remainder of the church being rebuilt in 1866.
In the churchyard there is an ancient menhir (standing stone) and a Celtic cross. The cross was found in the vicarage and moved near the porch some time between 1919 and 1930. The standing stone is found in the shadow of a yew tree and is over 6 foot tall. Many locals will not walk past it as many say they have seen unexplained apparitions behind it, you have been warned!!
You can walk to the final cache but please be careful on what can be a deceptively busy road. Alternatively you can relocate to either N50 08 680 W005 08 683 or N50 09 174 W005 08 033 (charges apply) and start an easy walk suitable for children but only accessible to “all terrain” pushchairs. Please keep your dogs on leads and children away from the water.
If any body would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
