För ett tag informerade jag dig om att allt inte verkade stå rätt till med din cache och bad dig ta reda på hur det stod till och åtgärda eventuella problem. Då det inte syns några tecken på att du gjort det kommer jag nu att arkivera din cache. VIKTIGT: Det här är ingen 5-minuters cache, för nu känns Ljungby redo för en riktigt svår cache (även om några lär hitta denna fort i alla fall). Låt det ta sin tid. Leta efter denna geocache på egen risk och leta efter den helst kvälls- och/eller nattetid p.g.a. mugglare.

Den här geocachen är placerad vid gamla Järnvägsbron i Ljungby som numera inte betjänar några tåg utan används som cykelbro/gångbro.

På 70- och 80-talet rullade här mycket trafik, men jag vet inte riktigt vilket år som tågtrafiken upphörde helt (någon kanske kan kommentera det i en logg nedan?).

Om du följer järnvägsbron och in mot stan så ser du att hela den gamla järnvägssträckan numera är omgjord till just en cykelväg/gångväg.


Lite mer fågelskådarinfo från Ljungby Fågelklubb:

"Järnvägsbron: här blir ån åter bredare vilket gör att storskrake och storskarv ses fiskande."


Anledningen till 4,5 i terrängrating (och inte 4 eller lägre) är i första hand att det kan vara knepigt för en kort person att klättra ner här, även om det går :-). GPS-marginal: 5-7 meter.

NOTE: This is NOT a 5 minutes cache, because now I feel that Ljungby is ready for a harder geocache (even if some of you will find it quite quickly). Let it take some time! Do this at you own risk and search for it primarly in the night because of the risk of mugglers!

This geocache is placed at the old Railway bridge which nowadays doesn't take any railway traffic. Instead it is intended for strolling and bicycling.

In the 70's and 80's there were a lot of traffic here, but I really don't know which was the last year with railway traffic (someone may know, in that case: please comment!).

If you follow the railway bridge and the road into the city you'll notice that the old railway is now remade into a strolling/bicycle road.


A little more bird watching information from Ljungby Birdwatching club:

"The railway bridge: here the stream gets wider again and this is good for Common Mergansers and Cormorants and their fishing."

The reason to 4,5 in the terrain rating (and not 4 or lower) is primary that it can be a bit tricky for att short person to climb down here, but you can do it :-) GPS margin: 5-7 meters.
