This cache is placed in honor of a special person, Timothy M. Noga. Tim was my closest friend in life and a friend to many, many people.
Sadly, Tim passed away suddenly on October 23, 2007 at age 47.
In April of 2008 he was inducted into the New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame. All who knew him know he was deserving of this honor. Tim lived for hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Tim also cared about the rights of those that enjoyed the outdoors in these persuits. He worked for years advocating for all outdoorsmen. Many local and state polititians knew a call or visit to thier office by Tim meant an issue on hunting and fishing legislation was to be disscussed.
Waterfowl hunting was his passion and for thirty years from the time we first met in college till his passing we hunted waterfowl all over the northeast. Tim was a character with a great deal of character ! All who knew him had a story or two about him. He took great pride in his Polish heritage and his hunting heritage.
In New York State thousands of outdoorsmen that never knew Tim benefited from his work in various organizations like N.Y.S. Conservation Council and Friends of Montezuma National Wildlife Reuge.
In october of 2008 Tim's ashes were spread at the refuge he loved so much. Tim will forever be one with Montezuma Refuge.
This cache is placed very very close to the Montezuma Refuge but, not on it. You are looking for a green match holder. The terrain is flat untill the last 6 feet
