Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Almost a drive up. May not be available to drive to in winter.
This cache on Johnson Lake is part of our "Cache & Release" series to highlight some of the inland lakes in the area. Most of the caches will be at or near the boat launch. If boaters or neighbors are present, stealth may be required. Access to this site is off Blue Lake Road and Francis Mine Road.
You do not need a boat to reach this cache. However, if you are paddling or boating on the lake, please do your part to prevent the spread of invasive species and remember that when fishing, persons over the age of 16 must have in their possession a valid fishing license (or risk a fine).
There will be no need to venture far from established trails. The cache is a camoflaged pill bottle with a log sheet and pencil. A token First Finder prize is awaiting the lucky cacher. Please trade items appropriately and pursuant to the MiGO/DNR policy as space allows. Please rehide the cache exactly where found.
While picking wild berries, morel mushrooms, etc. for personal use is allowed, please do not remove any vegetation, trees/wood, soil, rocks, etc. from state land while searching for this cache.
To better support the MiGO/DNR relationship, we appreciate all who participate in CITO (cache in, trash out) whenever possible.
Please do not disturb others who may be using this area.
