Agia Marina from the cache
Agia Marina on the northern side of the entrance to
Pedi can be reached on foot or by water-taxi from the
harbour or Pedi Bay. It has a newly-built taverna, sunbeds and
umbrellas for hire. You can buy a drink from the bar and relax on
the terrace. There is a picturesque chapel on a small island which
is very popular as a wedding venue.
The water is incredibly clear; great for snorkelling and safe
for children (description courtesy of the Symivisitor website).
Whilst water taxi is by far the easiest way to reach Agia Marina
from Pedi Bay or Yialos, you can walk from both in around 45
minutes. As ever, good shoes and plenty of water are requried
The cache is located above Agia Marina close to the path from Pedi.
GZ provides spectacular views over Agia Marina and across to Agios
Nikolaos from just above the cache.
From Agia Marina, follow the path up towards Pedi, following the
blue and red waymarks on the rocks. After you pass the rock with
blue/red/blue marks, continue up a little further until you get to
an old stone wall that stretches to your right. Don't go past this
wall, instead turn right just before it walking around 45 feet and
look for a tell-tale hole in one of the rocks. OK, there are
hundreds of them - see the spoiler pics for help
.

It is difficult to know what rating to give a cache like this.
If you are visiting Symi and expect to take a boat to Agia Marina
then it's a 3/4. If you didn't expect the boat trip or long hike,
then it's a 3/5 !
Small note on cache maintenance: Shared
maintenance agreement with YanniG.
