Congratulations to the triple-threat...Columbo, gohangasalami, and Regal-Lager for the team FTF!
The 913-acre preserve, located at the foot of South Mountain in Cumberland County, boasts seven miles of trails and fishing access to a nearby stream in addition to protecting a 200-acre wetland habitat. There is a nice board in the parking area with trail maps and other information. The cache is placed in a posted "safety zone" where there is no hunting allowed.
This hide isn't about being tricky or sneaky - it's about getting you outside into a really nice spot for a short walk - thus the container is nothing fancy - a nalgene water bottle - camo'd to blend in.
The cache is located a few feet of the trail in order to minimize bushwhacking. Therefore, please rehide and re-cover it well to ensure it does not get muggled. I really like this container and would like to see it around for awhile. The well-marked trail borders private property and there is a house about 200 yards away, so please be a little "muggle conscious"!!
Have fun and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!
