A nice stroll around a lovely historic kirkyard.. Limited parking outside the kirkyard and at various points around the village. Co-ords are for the gravestone from which you can get the info. Find the answers and you'll find the cache. Cache is NOT located in Kirk or Kirkyard, but just a short stroll away.
This old kirk seems to have been built around 1551, so its very old. But its real treasure is the richly carved sacrament house ( a niche or receptacle usually in the north wall for housing the holy sacrament ). Also it has a very interesting old kirkyard with many interesting gravestones, one of which seems to be clad in iron. The village itself mostly dates from around 1760s when a bleachfield was established, ( for spreading out linen over a field for the bleaching action of the sun and rain ). Sadly the industry failed to prosper and the village failed to grow.
You need to find the deep red granite gravestone, it’s cylindrical and easy to find.
