in our disclaimer.
The trail is covered in loose gravel with a dirt ATV trail to one side.
THE CACHE
The cache is located along a section of the old Wellington Grey & Bruce Railway "spur line" in Saugeen Shores. This section is referred to as the "parallel trail", where, since 2008, motorized and non motorized users can co-exist. From the parking lot on concession 6, the trail gently curves west before crossing hwy 21. When you arrive at "The Twins", you will be in sight of hwy 21. The views are mainly of the off street side of local quarries and some wooded areas.
UPDATE...SEE LOG APRIL 1 2017. ONE TWIN WAS BADLY MAIMED AND NO LONGER ABLE TO HIDE THE CACHE
The cache container is a camo painted jar. It is winter friendly because it is above ground
INAPPROPRIATE SWAG: gravel from the rail trail, liquids, scented items, dirty, old or broken toys
ATTRACTION: child friendly...pleasant rail trail walk...another child friendly cache is at the con. 6 end called THE TRIPLETS OF SAUGEEN GC2083Z...it is a simple mystery cache for the young children
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN...the pencils have been known to grow legs and escape!
PARKING
The parking lot is located at Emergency sign #315 on concession 6. In the winter you may prefer to park off road where the trail crosses hwy 21.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ARE RETRIEVING THE CACHE CONTAINER FROM, AND RETURN IT TO THE EXACT LOCATION TO PREVENT MIGRATION...IN THIS CASE, A WIRE BASKET.
