This cache is located near a new bridge over Dowling Creek. The cache holds a log only, BYOP.
Back in the 80's in October, it was not uncommon to watch dozens of salmon swimming upstream here looking for spawning grounds. The Galien River no longer receives a reliable run of salmon, but sometimes Steelhead can be seen here in the spring. The county drain commission recently "cleaned out" this stream as it is also the primary storm water drain for the farm fields all around this area.
