Geocache Description:

Soapstone Mountain

Enjoy the beautiful views from the lookout at the 1075 foot summit of Soapstone mountain in the 6,100 acre Shenipsit forest.   On a clear day you can see mountains in several states.

Arrive from Gulf Rd in Somers, CT and park in the west-side lot.   Hike up the moutain by steep trail or gentle paved road.   This cache is housed in a small container suitable for items 6" x 6" and smaller.

12/29/06: Please make a note in your postings of all travel bugs found in the cache.
