This traditional cache was hidden on the rocky shore of Sa Font de Sa Cala.
It lies within a neighborhood of houses in a "Public green zone" falling down to the sea steeply.
Diesen traditionellen Cache haben wir an der Steilküste von Sa Font de Sa Cala versteckt.
Er befindet sich in einem Wohngebiet auf einer unbebauten Fläche, einer "Zona verda publica", die zum Meer hin steil abfällt.
On the first glance the area where the cache is hidden looks a bit ugly or at least not very spectacular, but after you have managed to get down you will be rewarded by a very nice view and some very interesting rock formations.
In the 1950s on the hill of Sa Font de Sa Cala there had been no building activity at all, until a retired British colonel and his wife settled down there and built a little house for themselves. After many years of service in India they couldn´t get used to the climate in the United Kingdom any more. Their house is still there, it is the smallest one, surrounded by partly quite luxurious villas in a neighborhood, that some travelling guides call "a noble one".
Wer den Abstieg durch das auf den ersten Blick recht unansehnliche Gelände geschafft hat, wird mit einer schönen Aussicht und auch einigen geologisch recht interessanten Felsformationen belohnt.
Der Hügel, auf dem heute viele mehrheitlich in deutscher Hand befindliche, teils recht pompöse Villen stehen, war in den 50er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts noch komplett unerschlossen, als ein britischer Colonel im Ruhestand dort als erster für sich und seine Frau ein kleines Haus baute. Beiden war es nach vielen Dienstjahren in Indien in England zu kalt. Das Haus steht bis heute und ist das kleinste in der in manchen Reiseführern als "nobel" bezeichneten Nachbarschaft.
