A Mural for All Tribes Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

golden cache: The buildings are being demolished. Looks like the artist has been able to repair the damage done by some losers. The sections of the walls with murals will be moved and put on display somewhere else. Thanks to all who came to see the murals and to find our cache!

Geocache Description:

Sadly, these very cool murals were vandalized, and are now covered with plywood. I will monitor the situation, and reactivate the cache if possible. You can read about what happened from here

This nano cache is close to a cool set of artistic murals painted by Andrew Morrison in 2007. Some are on the north side walls by the gate, and some are on the east wall of the bigger building (not visible from GZ), so make sure you walk around the corner to see them too.

The area is kind of tucked away, so I have a feeling not many people are aware that the murals exist.

The murals are on the walls of what used to be the American Indian Heritage School, and now offers a variety of services. Since the cache is right next to the school grounds, we have obtained a permission to place the cache there.

The picture is a detail taken from one of the murals. If you enjoyed the artist's work, check out his freshly painted murals and other paintings at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center near We R Here's Trollson's Shilshole Bay View cache.
