Kitsilano Neighbourhood House has a rich history that is vested within the Westside community. It was originally conceived as an orphanage - 'Alexandra Orphanage and Non-Sectarian Home Society' back in 1894 and located at Pine and 7th. After many transformations, that orphanage was renamed 'Alexandra House' in 1938. In 1972 Alexandra House moved to 7th and Vine, changed its name to Kitsilano Neighbourhood House and continues to serve the Westside of Vancouver.
