Geocache Description:

Team Geogold is placing caches to thank and honor the cachers that have placed caches that we have all gotten to enjoy. In this area it is definately Coastal Sparky!! There are caches of his that we have gotten along US18 as well as State Route 130 to the north along the little Nestucca River. For this cache you will be turning onto Murphy Road AKA Road 6 at the Murphy Hill Summit. If the gate is closed it is an easy .25 of a mile or so hike to the cache, if the gate is open you can park within 10 feet of the cache. Murphy Road is a well maintained road system that goes deep into the forests of the coast range, so IF the gate is open, usually during hunting season, explore the area, you won't be sorry. And while your going for this cache, go for some of Coastal Sparky's caches on the way.Have fun, be safe, and practice CITO whenever you can.
