Magnetic nano - easy access for all
This cache is one of a series put out to commemorate the opening of the White River Place remodelling of St Austell town centre in October 2009. They are all on or close to a public seat in a public place. The nearby seat is an ideal location to open and log the cache.
They are an ideal pastime for anyone who has been required to accompany a partner to the shops but prefers a caching distraction rather than a cashing distraction!!
All the locations can be accessed in a wheelchair but may require assistance in retrieving the actual cache. All are dog friendly with the usual provisos of clearing up after your pooch.
All three are magnetic nanos so a pen or pencil will be required. All are in muggle heavy locations and will require stealth to ensure secrecy. Please put the cache back exactly as you found it.
The series of three caches will take you on a tour of St Austell town and can be found on a walk of less than one hour. Parking is available in a number of locations around the town – most of them charge for the pleasure!!
Seat No. 2 is located near Cemetery Park, close to the main railway and bus station. Cemetery Park was created a few years ago by moving most of the gravestones of the original parish churchyard and creating an open green space. A rather imposing stainless steel and polished granite sundial is located at the centre of the park. The sundial and the artistic iron work forming the gates were designed by local craftsmen.
This cache is very close to a covered seating area across the road from the Park - please take care it is a busy road. The seating area used to serve as the main bus stop . Sadly it is sometimes used as an outside drinking area and empty cans are a local imperfection although the council does clean it up very regularly. You have a police station, a library and a doctor's surgery close by - all needs catered for!!
