Come in from the View Traditional Cache
Renrets: This was a nice little parklet but it suffers from neglect and is not worthy of a cache. Once or twice a year the Mount Washington Development Corp. calls for volunteers to clean up the landscaping but the few of us are unable to maintain it's original charcter. Therefore it is now archived. Hopefully the city will add it to it's park maintence list.

Mount Washington rivals the top cities of the world in its view of a great city. Having traveled to the top of many world cities on six continents, I'd rank Pittsburgh as number one. The next closest might be Hong Kong. Even without the pollution the view is inferior to to that of Pittsburgh's. So if a trip to China isn't in your plans, get up to Mount Washington.
On Grandview Avenue, across from the Point and down the Ohio River, there are the upscale restaurants that attract visitors from Hong Kong and those that have been on London's "Eye". This cache is for those that want to experience the other part of Mount Washington, and be a little less touristy.
Find a place to park on Grandview Avenue and enjoy the view as you walk upstream with the Monongahela River on your left. Turn on Shiloh Street and experience the other commercial district of Mount Washington. There you can come in from the view.
At the intersection of Shiloh Street and Virginia Avenue there is a tiny park next to the Fire Station. Come in, sit down and enjoy the public art. You'll find the cache under your seat.
