Waterfall lovers and/or off-road fans will love this cache and its' companion. We discovered these waterfalls on Sugar Creek on Rich Stevenson's website, ncwaterfalls.com just recently and just had to put a cache here! Follow the directions for Sweet Water #1 for parking. Keep walking or driving up the 4X4 road past Sweet Water #1 for less than another 1/2 mile. You should be able to see part of this falls from the road. You need to get back down to the creek here. If you come to where the road goes between thick rhododendron, you have gone too far. Just before the rhodos right before a pipe coming out from under the road is the easiest way down to the base of the falls. This is where you need to be for the cache. If you want to explore up higher, you can get through the rhodos (and an area that looks like someone broke up housekeeping). You are looking for a small green waterproof match container.
