This cache was originally placed on crown land at an elevation of approx 326m but is now within the Kawartha Highlands PP boundary. While there is little undergrowth, the terrain is quite uneven with a lot of dead fall/blow-down debris, and the cache is well hidden.
Start your search from #12 Fire Rte 62, Anstruther Lake rd, Apsley, ON. This is a public boat launch. Please keep in mind that when facing the lake, the property on the right (North) is private. The cache itself is an opaque, tupperware-like box with a RED lid, 3"x4"x6" in size and covered with a small amount of forest debris. The cache contains the usual log book and some trinkets which include some quartz & granite from the cache area, small tools and lots of kids stuff. Please replace & cover exactly as found.
PLEASE NOTE - The container under the large boulder (erratic) is NOT THE CACHE; it is a resupply box that has been almost picked clean. Use the clues and the images to help find the true cache.
