J'ai découvert ce boisé il y a quelques années durant une
expédition de prospection géocachottière. Durant cette
spectaculaire journée d'automne, je me suis dis que je devrais
partager cette expérience avec mes collègues. Venez donc visiter
Cantley. Ce boisé de plus d'un kilomètre carré, à l'intérieur du
village, est un petit joyau inconnu. Quelques vieux sentiers le
sillonne. Dans quelques années, ce sera probablement un
développement domiciliaire. Profitons-en pleinement entre-temps.
Saluez le
capitaine, en même temps. Ce sentier est pratiquable en toute
saison. Les amateurs de sensations fortes peuvent l'essayer en vélo
de montagne.
Ne stationnez pas sur la 307! Vous trouverez un peu d'espace de
stationnement en face du sentier d'entrée, sur l'autre côté de la
route 307, sur la rue du Vieux Chemin.
I found this wooded area a few years ago during a geocaching
prospection expedition. During this great autumn day, I thought to
share this experience with my colleagues. Come visit Cantley, my
home of adoption for 20 years, now. This square kilometer wooded
area, inside Cantley, is a small gem. Some old trails can be found,
likely dating back many years ago. In a few years, this may very
well become yet another housing development area. Let's use it
while we still can. Say hello to the
captain, at the same time. The trail can be hiked any time of
the year. If you have thighs of steel and a lot of nerves, you can
try trail-biking it.
Do not park on highway 307! You will find a bit of parking space
in front of the trailhead, on the other side of the 307, on the
"Vieux Chemin" road.
