Geocache Description:

A 1.1lt clip-lock box hidden just off a public footpath.
In a small wood with 2 little bridges to cross. Muddy patches!

This cache is placed in a area where Debbie ( Mrs R.R.) spent many happy hours playing when she was a child.
Enys is a large estate of around 1000 acres with famous gardens. The Enys family lived here for at least 7 centuries. The present house dates only from 1830 following the destruction by fire of the Tudor Mansion. The first dwelling pre-dates the reign of Edward 1, and was built in the early 1200s.
From 1940 when Holland came under German occupation, Enys House was the home of the Dutch Royal Naval College, this continued until 1946.
In 1995 the Enys estate was one of 4 sites shortlisted as the campus for the proposed University of Cornwall.

Broads Lane can be reached from Comfort Road, Mylor. Follow this lane up to the listed parking spot, if occupied there is parking back down the lane. DO NOT drive through the Granite posts as this land is Private.
A little further up this lane there is a footpath sign on the right ( Visable from parking ), take this path and cross 2 bridges before heading for the cache.
The 1.1 lt box contains log book & pen and swaps. There is a FTF prize also.
