Heaven or Home? Traditional Cache

Hairmyres Hospital is one of NHS Lanarkshire's three District General Hospitals.It opened in 2001 as a Private Finance Initiative. Unlike Wishaw General the hospital was built on the same site as the old hospital (part of which still remains). After the "flagship" hospital opened it had a number of teething problems which led to some hysterical media reporting. Things seem to have settled down now though. More up to date information about NHSL and Hairmyres can be found at NHS Lanarkshire or Wikipedia.

We suppose we could have asked Scotsbob to add this cache to the "The Doctor Will See You Now" series, which has a Lanarkshire medical bent. For anyone with a fetish for Lanarkshire NHS facilities then you can while away the hours visiting some of SB's caches.
