Geocache Description:

The cache is a 35mm film canister hidden on Monarch's Way.

The Monarch's Way is a 615-mile (990 km) long-distance footpath in England that approximates the escape route taken by King Charles II in 1651 after being defeated in the Battle of Worcester.

Most of the footpath is waymarked. The waymark shows a picture of the ship The Surprise, the Prince of Wales crown and the Royal Oak tree at Boscobel House.

This route is shown as a series of green diamonds on Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps and as a series of red diamonds on Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 maps.

Some of the footpaths in this area run through private gardens and fields with livestock. Stiles are not dog friendly and there are electric fences - usual rules apply.
