Welcome to the Buck Lake Dam. This is an area we truly enjoy. Take a walk down the trail on the east bank and enjoy the view of the rapids.
This cache can be enjoyed by canoe, kayak, or just by the regular automobile method.
If you are of the floating type, you can park at 45°24.537'N 079°22.779'W, launch your craft, and follow the west bank of Buck lake to the mouth of the river. From here it is about a 1 1/2 hour return trip. Our Prospecter has graced this river many times. When you reach the dam, stay to your left... there is a nice place to beach your craft.
If you are of the 4 wheeled type, you can park at 45°24.383N 079°21.717'W in the late spring to fall and hike right in. This cache is accesable in the winter if you have frozen precipitation footware. Cache is also somewhat kid friendly as long as there is some good adult supervision. You are looking for a regular size camoed container with the usual SWAG and a logbook with pencil. Please rehide as found.
