This cache is placed in an area I have thought
about for a long time.
The view is very nice (Suggestion: Bring Your
Camera!),
but you will earn it: to get there requires going up...and
up...
In the warm/hot seasons, overgrowth may be expected.
I would consider this to be prime snake territory in
appropriate
temperatures.
Currently, tree workers are "cleaning up" the area.
When snow or freezing temperatures are present, please add
another
at least another half point to the terrain rating.
The cache is accessible from a woods road/trail which starts
approx. .2 miles east of the parking area.
There is an active railroad, which can be safely crossed via
the
woods road.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you walk the tracks or cross in
other areas !!!
The cache is also accessible from the Highlands Trail (which
begins on the opposite side of the underpass from parking).
This will involve bushwhacking.
Just above the cache (about 150') are 2 trails/woods roads...but
I
did not have the time to explore where they went or came
out.
These may make access somewhat easier, but I don't know for
sure.
The cache is located on NWCDC property which requires a hiking
permit.
Hiking permits have increased to $12/year
and are available at:

number of animals, among which are included: black bear, deer,
coyote, mountain lion (possibly) and snakes (poisonous and
non-poisonous).
Please familiarize yourself with what to do
should you have an encounter.
Hunting is allowed, in season; please be safe and wear hunter
safety orange attire
or geocache on Sundays when hunting is not allowed.
