Red67: I removed this cache today after critical entries thinking it was either placed on private property or close to private property with the intent of harassing the adjacent property owner. It was not. It was located well inside County Right of Way (i.e. public property) along an arterial roadway in an area with a wide paved shoulder and a close by paved pullout which was intended to provide maintenance access to a power line easement, but which incidentally provided a safe place for Geocachers to pull off the roadway and park. Those were my considerations in the placement of this cache. I have never met the adjacent property owner and I know nothing about him, nor is it my nature to try to cause anxiety or grief for anyone.
HOWEVER, it is possible that unknown groups of people milling around in the area near his fence made him uncomfortable as he did post 'No Trespassing' and 'No Loitering' signs. Therefore, not wanting to cause anyone concern or do anything that might reflect badly on the activity of Geocaching, I am retiring this cache. Thank you to my fellow cachers who have found and logged this cache over the years.
