For a shorter walk you can park just off Chapmanspeak Drive. If you
approach from the Noordhoek side, you can avoid having to pay the
toll. However, if you are feeling slightly more energetic then park
down at the beach. This walk can be done within an hour and a half
from the top parking area.
Starting at the beach (S 34 5.896 E 018 21.459):
Make your way to the steps leading up to Chapman's Peak Drive. The
stairs start quite close to the shoreline at S 34 5.800 E 018
21.220 before winding up through the Milkwoods until one joins the
main toll road.
Parking on Chapman' s Peak Drive (S 34 5.720 E 018
21.560):
Make your way down the road to a wooden stairway heading up past a
fig tree. This tree was recently cut down but is now
re-sprouting.
The trail starts at the fig tree (S34 5.748 E 018 21.367) and
winds up above Chapman' s Peak Drive before arriving at the
cache.
Take time to enjoy the magnificent views. This walk can be
combined with Chapmans Peak - Hout Bay (GC501D) and even A Cache
