Brief: Drive or bike up bumpy road, find parking, walk up hill on track & off track, find cache. Sign log, take photo!
This cache takes you up into the hills beyond Hanmer for a good view, with only a little exertion. The access road is unsealed, a little rough and steep, but 2wd cars will make it with care. Park at the suggested parking co-ords S42 28.613 E172 49.524, or thereabouts and walk the rest of the way. Cache is a little back from the ideal photo spot, which is at S42 28.708 E172 49.346. From here you will have a great view out towards Hanmer village. We found the co-ords for the cache were more accurate if we went to the cache first before going out to the photo spot.
