Geocache Description:

An alphabet Chain cache - The Alphabet chain cache series is a series with a difference, the difference being that the First Finder of each cache has been invited to hide the next cache in the series.

If you are the first to find this cache please indicate in your log that you are happy to hide the next letter in the series. This may not be possible e.g. if you are on holiday, so it will pass to the second to find.
The Rules are:
1.The cache name will be ‘Alphabet Chain Cache – (the next letter alphabetically) is for ……… ‘
2.The cache will be placed on the Island of Jersey.
3.The cache will be placed as soon as is possible and within a reasonable time span (if this cannot be done, then email me).
4.The cache can be of any type/size/difficulty.
5.The cache will include these instructions/rules for the FTF er.

************************************************************************

Now for this cache - ‘G’ is for Goose Green Marsh, an area of marsh land. Brent geese were once found here most winters and were seen feeding in the marshy field from the months of October to April (not sure if this is still the case – keep a look out). To the right of the marsh is The Perquage path that will take you to Sandybrook. Please park at co-coordinates given (this is a paycard area, however nearby there is free parking if you are shopping) and take a gentle stroll to the above co-ordinates in order to take a look at the carving, and work out the following to give you the final cache co-ordinates:

1. What is the number carved out here?
2. Write down this number in words (there are 26 letters in the alphabet).
3. Take the 2nd letter = ? – 14 = ?
4. Take the 3rd letter = ? – 15 = ?
5. Take the 9th letter = ?
So the above should complete the north cords N49° 11. ???

6. Take the 11th letter = ? – 1 = ?
7. Take the 5th letter = ? – 5 = ?
8. Take the 7th letter = ? – 21 = ?
These should now complete the west cords W002° 09. ???
