A relatively short hike up the Skyline Trail. The cache is located just off the trail. We placed this cache for those cachers who like to hike, but may not have the time or energy to do an extended hike.
Congratulations to Dix1 for a well earned FTF. What some people will do for a FTF. Guess she had the time and energy to do an extended hike. Honestly, we thought it would be at least a few days, maybe even spring, before someone went hunting for this cache. We didn’t think someone would be crazy enough to go out hiking in the snowstorm just to find a pill bottle. That’s what we call a dedicated cacher. This cache is a .7 mile hike up the Skyline Trail. It took us two, slightly overweight 50 + year olds 20 minutes to return to the trail head from the cache site. We’re estimating about a hour to hike to, locate, and return. The hiking terrain is 2.5, until the very last short scrabble to reach the cache. ANY CACHER WHO CLAIMS A FIND BUT HASN'T SIGNED THE LOG WILL HAVE THEIR LOG DELATED
