Geocache Description:

This is something a little different, hence the 3.0 difficulty rating. Actual cache location is just yards away from a parking area. There is some undergrowth so a little bushwacking may be required, especially in the summer!

How well do you know how to use your GPSr? This cache will require you to use bearing and distance to obtain the cache coordinates, so grab your manual and get ready to learn something new!

Posted coordinates will take you to the parking lot of a shopping center in Danville.

1) Once you get to the parking lot, look for a concrete slab (approximately 4' x 3') near the road, not far west of American National Bank. There used to be 2 phone booths here. Save a waypoint at the former phone booth location.

2) Make sure the "North Reference" setting on your GPSr is set to "True". This is important!

3) Using the "projection" feature on your GPSr, project a waypoint from the saved waypoint (phone booth) using a distance of 3.68 miles and a bearing of 159 degrees. Save this new waypoint.

4) You now have the coordinates needed to take you to the cache location!
