Geocache Description:


Puzzle cache with a "special" container of small/medium size.

The Cache is not at the above co-ords which are outside Earlswood Court on Cut Throat Lane a mile or so away from the cache site, the location of which can be worked out below by solving a word search based around the Police then converting answers to coordinates using detailed instructions.

Parking is suggested at Earlswood station then a short walk along a busy country road to the start of the path. Please use the grass verge to walk along this road, it is both safe and convenient, but do take care of Geomutts & Geokids.

You are looking for a unique container which will explain the title, you can now help Max & Report your findings, But Please Please take care you are not seen & ensure the cache is re-hidden well. I can't replace the container if muggled so please help protect it. Thank You.

Given Quiz & GPS is a bit erratic at GZ difficulty reflects this, but the clue will hopefully help you to spot easily.

Start your investigation to find the cache coordinates you will need an eye for detail, be thorough & able to follow detailed instructions.

First complete the Word Search. There are 12 words hidden that relate to the Police i.e Cell or Beat (these words are not in the grid). The words are hidden across, vertically, diagonally and back to front in the grid. The Grid is 12 x 12, you may find it easier to copy out due to issues with loading the grid.

Calculation 1

Once you have the 12 words you believe are correct, to progress the investigation put the 12 words in strict alphabetical order starting from the letter A (if A comes up,if not B or C etc)

Calculation 2

Now take the first letter of each word and still in alphabetical order assign the letters to the numbers below. Only assign each letter once i.e if the first letter of the first word in alphabetical order is J but there are 3 words beginning with J assign only once to Number 1, then note the number of words (i.e. 3) under count. Continue for the numbers 1-7.
If you are right you should have 7 letters with 7 count numbers.

Example: 1 (No) = J (letter) = 3 (Count)

You are now very close to identifying the cache site and to log your findings, which is at : 52 22 XYZ 001 51 JKL

Calculation 3

Now replace the corresponding numbers below with the relevant Count number from calculation 2, then replace the letters in the cords above to get the final location.

(i.e) using the example of J, this was letter 1
but the count number = 3) X = 1 would become X = 3.

X = 1 – 2 =
Y = 6 – 4 =
Z = 6 + 5 + 7 + 4 =

J = 1 + 5 + 7 =
K = 7 + 3 – 2 =
L = 1 + 2 + 6 + 4 =
