Geocache Description:

A beautiful park with a playground for the kids and easy to get to. The cache is camouflaged and in a high muggle zone so keep a close watch and put everything back as you found it.

Rock n Roll? Well when I asked junior geo's for a name thats what came out!

Did I mention the rocket! which has an eerie red glow at night to deter those wishing to join the mile high club on the cheap.

While your at the park check out a few of the local attractions including the growing Swinburne Uni with some multicultural eateries, the near by Gee Bung Hotel (popular with 20 somethings on a sunday arvo) or of course the rocket playground.

The gardens, located at Henry Street, Hawthorn, were originally designed in a formal period style, but the overall style of the gardens has been drastically altered over the past 100 years.

The gardens were officially opened on 14 November 1900 and by the 1920s were an outstanding example of a formal period garden, featuring many annual beds, water elements and formal garden beds.

Central Gardens is open at all times and, as the sole large park in the area, is a popular venue for residents, Community House visitors and a large student population. Public toilet also for those in need.
