Sumiyoshi-taisha is the Grand Shrine of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirines all over Japan.

The history of the Sumiyoshi-taisha Grand Shrine is traced back to AD211. (visit link) Just amazing.

Osaka natives often call this shrine "Sumiyossan" . New Year is the busiest time for Sumiyossan. Every year some 2 million people come visit and wish good fortune.

A cache is hidden near the parking lot to the south of Sumiyossan.
